Tales from the B Side

 Well its on us the end of summer and all that goes with it. The signs are all here.  The leaves are starting to change, from green they are slowly showing reds , yellows and orange. its dark at 5, but by the end of the workout the light is starting to peek over the horizon.  Football has started and I am going to the great NY State Faire. School is starting and I wear a jacket more often when I take Precious out. 

 Don't get me wrong, there are so many things I like about autum. The smells of baking will fill the casa. Fresh baked breads and pies. Roasted meats of all sorts, and fresh corn!!!! Snugging with the family on the couch as we watch a movie or a football game and munch popcorn.  The trees when the have changed are an awesome pallet of colours. I like the stars and moon as companions on my daily run. Halloween and Dias Di Los Muertos is right around the corner. Fresh apples and cider will be available. Low humidity and hunting season are soon to be here. 

 But its a prelude to the dark times. No more riding the motorcycle, Precious goes on life support. Winter commuting, and bone chilling cold, cracked lips, heating bills, UHGGGGGGGG..  Winter , nope dont like it, and the older I get, the less I like it. 

 So I get to see the light before the storm.  Like the tides the seasons change and this for me is the last good one, at least until spring ;o)
