Yellowstone National Park: Bison Attack!

posted by conebaby on Saturday July 11th 11:24pm

Hello, hello!  Josh and I are in Sturgis, SD this evening after a loooong day in the car.  Tomorrow we start off bright and early for Mount Rushmore and the Badlands!  Sweet!

We had an amazing time in Yellowstone - I couldn't have imagined it if I tried.  There was such a variety of wildlife and landscape and if I could have stayed a week I would have.  The park is extremely busy, however, and that is a major drawback, especially if you're used to serious wilderness and solitude like we are.  I think an early or late season visit might be more our speed, because mid-July in Yellowstone is like, combat tourism.  Plus, it was a little discouraging, to see how blatantly people disregarded the rules for wildlife viewing and bear safety.  That's a story for another day, though...

We took a lot of video and I want to share some of the best with you all.  We'll have more from our trip to Grand Teton next week, along with photos and footage from South Dakota and Minnesota.
