As Josh and I finish up the packing I am overcome with emotion at the idea that when my head hits the pillow tonight, I will no longer be in Alaska.  Leaving this place and these people who have become our family is very painful.  We have much to look forward to, but with the hardest goodbyes yet to come (breakfast at our favorite bar, The Oasis) I'm still extremely sad.

Thank you, everyone, who bothered to read this Alaskan blog and I hope on occasion you were entertained.  A word of warning if you plan on visiting Alaska - and this is a side effect I was sure I was going to avoid - you might never want to leave.
