Canoe!

I'm off to paddle the Chatinika River, readers but I want to leave you with a few final thoughts for the weekend.
1. If the weather is nice, get outside! Heck, even if it's just ok. Find a nice trail to hike, grab a camera and photograph wildflowers, or read a book in the sun (SPF, please!)
2. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was spotted at the Downtown Deli in Seneca Falls today. YOU'RE WELCOME. I wrote her office after her trip was confirmed and suggested a stop in Seneca Falls, among other places in the Finger Lakes (we'll see if she takes up the suggestion about visiting a winery). I hope she got a Crybaby.
I don't have a third thought, but last night was my last night working at the Frontier Club in Fairbanks, AK. Tending bar at a real Alaskan institution like the Frontier capped off my experience here, I think. I will return to NY with many hilarious stories (and a couple of new drinks to try out on the folks at Red's Place).
Have a great weekend! Check into Snowcones next week for information on the Large Animal Research Station, photos of the Frontier Club and some of my favorite regulars, and of course pictures of our canoe trip down the Chatinika River!
