Small Town Memory

posted by jangus64 on Monday September 10th 10:47am

I was lucky to grow up in the fingerlakes region. The Hamlet of Owasco to be exact. In the 70's and the 80's the little town was such a great place to be. Everyone kept an eye on each others kids as we ran around and played games and had great times.

This time of year you could see a dozen of more kids with a football or as it got near dark playing kick the can. This is the kind of town that does not exist anymore. People tend to guard the places they live with fences and rude expressions.

This is not just the Hamlet of Owasco - this is whats going on all voer the place. It would be great to have that small town feel back in the small town. I think we the way things are now , it is a thing of the past.
